British Airways flights have restrictions on the liquids that you can carry in your hand luggage, like all similar flight operators. These are fairly standard across the industry but it is always best to check the details for your carrier.
As far as checked hold luggage is concerned, there are no size or volume restrictions for liquids imposed by British Airways, as long as they fit in your suitcase.
There are restrictions for liquids that will be carried in your cabin baggage when flying with British Airways.
British Airways Liquids in Hand Baggage
- All liquid containers that you bring to the airport must be no larger than 100ml, even if they currently contain less than 100ml of liquid
- All liquid containers must be carried in a single see-through plastic resealable bag with a maximum size of 20cm x 20cm
- Only one of these see-through plastic bags is allowed to be carried in your cabin baggage per person travelling
- The clear plastic bag must be able to close and it must be able to fit inside your carry-on hand baggage
- The maximum volume of liquid you can carry is 1 Litre. This can be split into multiple liquid containers, but each individual liquid container must still be no bigger than 100ml.
- Your clear plastic bag containing liquid containers must be removed from your carry-on luggage at the airport security area for inspection, and placed in the tray separately from the rest of your belongings for security screening
- Airport security staff may ask you to open any liquid container for the liquid to be screened using special equipment
- Any liquids that do not conform to these regulations may be disposed of by security staff at the airport security screening area
